New built host @home

Past two days I have been building a nice host to my daughter, called Ana. I mean, the host is called Ana. It is a fairly low-consumption Athlon 1.4 GHz with just 504 Mb of RAM.
It has a wireless card to connect to my EDIMAX router -- this router is actually just switching; it allows wireless around 54 Mbps and currently is switching 3 hosts: my Freesco-box, a development server (RedHat 7.2), and a high speed desktop I usually use (that runs, by its own, two Debian boxes).

The software installed is rather simple, windowzed; I installed TightVNC (TightVNC Server is running on default ports 5900 and 5800, and is starting as a service, i.e. boots up automatically), essential to perform maintenance remotely if necessary. To remote from outside is necessary to proxy port 5900 through, for instance using the Freesco-box port forwarding; I prefer to use a self-made controlled vnc-proxy software to have it available on a more secure port, and currently is not running...

Here some snapshots of the building stage.

Who said building furniture is not pleasant (a cheap 60 euro desk from Conforama suit perfectly) -- you should try to build it from scratch. My wife helped me a lot with it: so I just put the computer on the desk -- et voilá... It's finally ready.
